Edit with Journalists and Reporters in Kathmandu
At ECON, we have worked with journalists who cover the human condition, and the state of Nepal, from crumbling architecture to the rise of the Maoists as the new head of Government. We can have you shadow journalists that hike between beautiful villages in the Hill district writing for Nepal’s leading daily English paper about the human spirit; or we can have you work with Maoist journalists who cover all aspects of the life of a Maoist, from the training and camps to the Prime Minister of Nepal. Religious ceremonies as attended by the three major religions in Nepal, to villages where Shamans are called to cleanse the spirit of collectively possessed school children; to the daily demonstrations in the heart of Kathmandu—there is a story at all times. This placement is best served by a journalism student, a photo journalist or student, or simply by someone with fine arts bent who wants to feel the pulse of the nation.
